How did we come up with this idea?

Last year at Roskilde Festival 06 we conducted a study about what festival guests do during and right after the concerts. We observed, interviewed, handed out questionnaires, held workshops, and ended up with a huge amount of data!

When analyzing the data we discovered that festival guests adapt the concerts on three levels.

1st level: Is during the concert. It is the festival guests' immediate impression of the concert.
The festival guests express themselves in simple ways like clapping, singing or sending a rate.

2nd level: Is after the concert - but still at the festival.
This is when the festival guests talk with their friends about the concert. Festival guests like to see what reviews the Festival Paper bring or discuss the concert in detail with their friends. Roskilde Rates provide an opportunity do this on the site for mobile phones (mobile.roskilderates.dk).

3rd level: Is after the festival.
As this point, the festival guests are more reflected and recollect, comment and discuss the concerts. They can do this online in different communities or simply by reading reviews in the newspaper. Now they can also get the concert graph to display at their own website, Myspace profile, blog, etc.

Roskilde Rates helps the festival guests in all three levels and also gives the artists an opportunity to get reviews directly from the audience.
